Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how TailorFit (“we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the TailorFit application.
1. Information we collect
Account information. Your name, email address, and profile photo from Google sign-in.
Profile content. Resume / CV text, work history, narrative, compensation targets, location, and any career artifacts you choose to upload.
Evaluation content. Job descriptions you submit, AI-generated evaluations, stories, tailored resumes, and notes you create.
Usage data. Page views, feature usage, request timing, and error reports. We do not sell or share this data with advertisers.
2. How we use your information
To run AI evaluations comparing your profile to a job description.
To generate tailored content (resumes, cover letters, interview prep) at your request.
To track your evaluation history and let you revisit prior results.
To operate, secure, and improve the service. We use error monitoring (Sentry) to diagnose problems; request bodies and personal identifiers are stripped before errors are sent.
To process payments through Stripe if you subscribe to a paid plan. We never store your full card number.
3. Third-party processors
Anthropic Claude. Powers all AI evaluations. Job descriptions, resume content, and artifacts you submit are sent to Anthropic to generate responses. Anthropic does not use this data to train models on consumer API traffic.
Neon. Managed PostgreSQL database hosting your account and content.
Vercel and Vercel Blob. Application hosting and private file storage for uploaded resumes and artifacts.
Stripe. Subscription billing and payment processing.
Sentry. Error monitoring with PII scrubbing applied before events are sent.
4. Data retention and deletion
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account. Deletion permanently removes your profile, evaluations, stories, artifacts, and uploaded files. Some operational logs (without account identifiers) may be retained for up to 30 days for security and debugging purposes.
5. Security
All traffic is encrypted in transit with TLS. Database content is encrypted at rest. Uploaded files are stored privately and accessed via short-lived signed URLs. We apply rate limiting, request validation, and authentication checks on all sensitive endpoints.
6. Cookies
We use first-party cookies strictly to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics cookies. See our cookie banner on first visit for more information.
7. Your choices
Access and export. All your evaluations, stories, and resumes are available within the app and can be downloaded as PDF.
Correction. You can edit your profile and content at any time.
Deletion. Delete individual evaluations or your entire account at any time.
8. Children's privacy
TailorFit is intended for users 16 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email. Continued use of TailorFit after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
